Ripley’s Aquarium and Advocates for Autism Family Day
Where: Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies

Date: Saturday, April 4
Advocates for Autism (AFA) and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies present their 6th Annual Autism Family Day! The Aquarium is opening early with all background music turned off from 7:30-10:00am.
You must arrive between 7:30-9:00am to get the special admission price of $7.82 per person (includes tax) and bring your registration receipt (printed “ticket”) from Eventbrite. You may bring other family members.
You will be welcome to stay as long as you like (into the afternoon if you want!) after the general public begins arriving at 9am. A quiet room will be available.
Pigeon Forge Rod Runs, Car Shows
Where: Leconte Center at Pigeon Forge
Date: Thursday-Saturday, April 16-18

A spectacular 3 day event for any car enthusiast! There will be a cash giveaway, top 25 awards, ultimate 5 awards and King of the Hill. Also scheduled is a swap meet with hundreds of showcars, a car corral, vendors and entertainment.
Great Smoky Mountain Easter Arts and Crafts Show
Where: Gatlinburg Convention Center
Date: Wednesday-Saturday, April 8-11
Unique handcrafted gifts and products produced by members of Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community are placed on display and offered for sale as they host their annual Easter show at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Demonstrations are part of the show.
Barbeque and Bluegrass Presented by Bush’s Best
Where: Dollywood Theme Park
Date: Friday, April 24-Sunday, May 3
When: During park hours
Enjoy live bluegrass performances from the theater to the street. Don’t miss headliners like Rhonda Vincent, The Cleverly’s and many more. And to satisfy the hunger, meats smoked to fall-off-the-bone goodness, tangy sauces, savory and sweet sides will be featured as well. All performances are free with a 2020 Season Pass or park admission. At the current time, Dollywood is closed, be certain to check their website for updates.
Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage
Where: Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Date: Wednesday, April 22-Saturday, April 25

The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is a 70-year old annual event in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park featuring professionally-guided walks, exhibits, and other learning opportunities to explore the region’s rich natural and cultural resources. More than 900 pilgrims from more than 32 states and several countries joined us in 2019. Our programs included fungi, ferns, wildflowers, trees and shrubs, medicinal plants, insects (terrestrial and aquatic), salamanders and snakes, birds, mammals (bats to bears), journaling, art and photography, and park history.
