Pigeon Forge Rod Runs, Car Shows

The 2020 rod run season in Pigeon Forge is sure to be an exciting year for car enthusiasts. With so many Pigeon Forge car shows for every kind of collector or admirer, you’re sure to find the event that interests you!
Ripley’s Aquarium and Advocates for Autism Family Day
Where: Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies

Advocates for Autism (AFA) and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies present their 6th Annual Autism Family Day! The Aquarium is opening early with all background music turned off from 7:30-10:00am. This event was rescheduled from April.
You must arrive between 7:30-9:00am to get the special admission price of $7.82 per person (includes tax) and bring your registration receipt (printed “ticket”) from Eventbrite. You may bring other family members.
You will be welcome to stay as long as you like (into the afternoon if you want!) after the general public begins arriving at 9am. A quiet room will be available.
Smoky Mountain Wine Weekend by Courtyard Marriott Gatlinburg Downtown
Where: Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts

The Gatlinburg Wine Tour is Friday, May 1 and takes you on a guided tour of Gatlinburg’s wineries and wine establishments. Registration/check is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the tour beginning promptly at 6 p.m. Seats are limited for this event, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase tickets. On Saturday, May 2, the Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain Wine Fest is presented by Courtyard by Marriott Gatlinburg Downtown and sanctioned by the Tennessee Farm Wine Growers Alliance, Inc. The festival will feature 18 + wineries from across Tennessee providing samples of their labels along with small dish fare from the best restaurants in the Smoky Mountains. *Note: This event has been postponed until June due to coronavirus, please refer to the June calendar.
Townsend Spring Festival
Where: Townsend, Tennessee
Date: Friday, Saturday, May 1-2, 2020
When: 10 am-8pm, ET (Parking is $10 per day, or $15 for 2 day pass)
Bring your lawn chair and enjoy genuine bluegrass music, arts and crafts, food, and Spring festivities for the entire family at the Townsend Visitor’s Center. Parking passes may be purchased at the Townsend Visitor Center (7906 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Townsend), the Maryville Welcome Center (201 S. Washington St., Maryville) or at the parking gate on event days. A free shuttle is provided for touring Townsend. Visit the Website for updates. *Note from the venue:
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, and in what the Blount Partnership sees is the best interest of our visitors, employees and community, the Townsend Spring Festival scheduled for May 1-2 at the Townsend Visitor Center is canceled. The event will not be rescheduled.
Sevierville’s Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass Festival

Alcatraz East Graffiti Art Contest

Alcatraz East is now accepting applications for the 3rd annual Graffiti Art Contest! This year’s contest will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Artists will be given six hours to complete their graffiti piece, competing for cash prizes and a chance to have their work displayed in the museum! *Note from the website: This event has been cancelled due to coronavirus and will return next year.
