With so much to see and do in The Smokies – we thought it would be helpful to create this little round-up of upcoming local events throughout Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Ice Skating at Wilderness at the Smokies

Wilderness at the Smokies will once again convert the 3,200 square foot portion of the outdoor wave pool into an ice skating rink, where hotel guests and the public can have fun together in an outdoor, socially-distanced manner. Music and holidays lights will add to the fun atmosphere. The admission fee is included with room rates if guests use the code ICESKATE at the time of booking. Guests will be able to purchase admissions for $12.99 per person plus tax if not purchased at the time their room reservation is made. The general public can purchase at the rink for $17.99 plus tax including skates. A DJ will be onsite Fridays and Saturdays beginning November 12 from 7-10 pm. Skating lessons are offered each Saturday (except December 4) between 9-10 am, $15 for 25 minutes or $25 for 50 minutes. Reservations for lessons are required in advance at the Smoky Crossing Hut. Saturday, November 20, from 10 am-10 pm Wilderness will host a special fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, where 100 percent of the public ice skating admissions will directly benefit the organization. December 4, from 7 am to noon, Cool Sports will be hosting a hockey game for folks to watch. Visit the website for details and updates.

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas

Build up the holidays with a woodsy holiday event and sing original tunes of the season inspired by forest folklore. Enjoy holiday twists on competitions including speed climbing, sawing, log rolling and more. Drink some hot chocolate and cheer the Dawsons and McGraws on to see which family will spend Christmas at Santa’s favorite logging camp in the Smokies! A Morbidly Merry Christmas

Looking for some unique holiday fun this year? Winterfest just took a scarier turn with Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion’s Holiday Haunted House! Visit the nation’s oldest continuously operating haunted attraction with the hallways decked with holiday lights, Christmas trees, garlands and more. Snow is guaranteed every night during the event. Come see the only Krampus in the Smoky Mountains, who will be waiting outside and ready for pictures. Please keep in mind that despite the decorations, this attraction is  still an intense and scary, and is not recommended for small children. Buy tickets onsite. Free Music at Ole Red Gatlinburg

Ole Red is now offering live music as 2020 restrictions ease. Country fans already know this place gets its name from superstar Blake Shelton’s breakout hit, “Ol’ Red”, and Blake knows a thing or two about spotting country’s next rising stars. Quiet spaces are also offered for those who may need a break during their visit.Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is a Certified Autism Center. This designation was given by IBCCES (International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards) and is awarded to organizations who have completed a training and review process to better serve individuals with sensory needs.Ripley’s Aquarium also works with Autism Site Knoxville and Advocates for Autism to provide a safe and fun environment for all guests.
