The newsletter also contained a special note from Dollywood Parks and Resorts President Eugene Naughton.
In the note, Naughton gives us an idea of what Dollywood has in store for the 2022 season.

For the uninitiated, Dollywood announced a 10-year expansion plan earlier this year which included four new resorts, a campground and a “record-breaking” attraction for the park.
Plans for the next resort, HeartSong, are currently underway. That resort is expected to open in 2023.
Dollywood also recently filed for a trademark on the name “Dollywood’s SongTeller Resort,” although no formal announcement has been made about SongTeller.

More announcements to come
It looks like 2022 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for Dollywood.
We will keep this article updated as we learn more about pricing on the new Silver, Gold and Diamond Season Passholder Program. So don’t forget to check back soon for updates!
Dollywood is not what it used to be under new management. Lot of things closed and lines at what open is awful. Shows at the park have not been up to par compared to years past and the biggest complaint is the Kingdom Heirs shows are shorter and not there at park like in past. I will probably not renew unless changes are made for the rising cost of season passes. It’s all on current management.
We agree totally not going in October because of the changes : first time in many years we won’t be there, very disappointed in the changes this October !
What about senior prices didn’t renew. Because of pricing and things not open and no shows
I very much miss having all the great southern gospel groups there in October. Main reason I got a season pass, would go almost every day. Bring it back, y’all make enough money to handle it.
WOW What a great deal on everything, Thanks Dolly
Confused I guess, so if you are a current pass holder and you upgrade to these new passes does that mean you have all next year to use your pass?
Bring back the Gospel groups for the entire month of October and lengthen the Kingdom Heirs shows back to 40 minutes. The best reasons to come in October!
Hi Jennifer, Yes – Basically you’d be renewing your pass for 2022.
Hi Toni, the letter says that senior pricing is also available. For full details on that, visit Dollywood.com/22Renew
Please bring back Southern Gospel Month in October like it was! Kingdom Heir’s need to be back like they were before. Keep it a Family Friendly park!
Disappointed in some of the changes. I’m afraid it’s going to go downhill fast. Pay attention to how many pass holders come in October! We’ve Loved Dollywood and been pass holders for years.
Hi Debbie. Kingdom Heirs is still at Dollywood. And the park still offers a variety of Southern Gospel shows and performances.
I wish they had a big discount on tickets for us Maryville and Knoxville residents. I’ve always loved Dollywood and took my kids but, it’s still too expensive for an average income to go. I’m a senior citizen and retired but a half days several times a year or something would alow me to go and see the Seasonal attractions. Thank you. I live Dolly and all she’s done for East Tennessee.
Thank you,
Judy Mowery
Been going for thirty years. I really miss the great groups in October. It looks like they wait to the last minute to schedule the groups and can’t get some of the great southern gospel groups like they use to. Seems like it’s geared for the teenagers. Not enough for the young kids or older people. They need more rides like Disney that the whole family can ride. Especially rides that are inside which Dollywood doesn’t have. My whole family loved the slidewinder, couldn’t believe they removed it, what were they thinking, this was the best ride in the park.
