Every month, we select one special cabin rental in Sevier County as our “Featured Cabin of the Month.” Each cabin is hand selected because of its unique features, popularity and overall excellence in aesthetics.

This month, we get a little magical with a feature on this Harry Potter inspired cabin in Pigeon Forge, nicknamed the Hogwartz of the Smokies

But don’t worry! Just in case there are any muggles in the family, this cabin still has everything you could ever hope to find in a cabin rental in the Smokies. Mountain views? Check. Hot tub? Check. Pool? Check.

Let’s explore …

This cabin has four bedrooms with queen-sized beds (photo courtesy of VRBO)

What’s inside

This cabin has a total of four bedrooms, four beds and two futons, making it comfortable for up to 12 guests.

Two of the bedrooms are located on the main floor, one of which is the master suite. The suite has private deck access and an attached bath with a jetted tub and separate shower.

The other two bedrooms are downstairs and include an additional queen master suite, complete with an attached bath with jacuzzi, as well as a kid-friendly room.

One of the most magical things about this cabin is its high, exposed timber beam ceilings that are beautiful enough to be reminiscent of the Great Hall … without the enchantment.

And of course, no Great Hall is complete without a long dining room table with ample seating for guests.

Adjacent to the dining area, guests will find a well-equipped kitchen in the open floor plan.

You won’t find any house elves here, but you will find labor-saving appliances that will help make your vacation cooking easier, including a refrigerator, four-burner cooktop range, microwave, blender, coffeemaker and dishwasher.

The cabin also comes equipped with two warming gas fireplaces (sans-Sirius Black), which are ideal in the winter months for a cozy cabin experience.

While adults are cozying up to the fireplace, kids can enjoy the game room with two stand-up arcade machines.

And of course, no cabin is truly magical without WiFi and cable TV.

What’s outside

To truly “soak” in the gorgeous mountain views, guests will also enjoy the furnished patio, complete with rocking chairs, a hammock and a private hot tub.

The games continue outside with cornhole (Harry Potter-themed, of course) and a Jumbo Jenga set.

Last but certainly not least, a shared swimming pool is accessible to guests from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The magic

Upon entering, guests will be greeted by a Sorting Hat. And like any Sorting Hat would, it can “sort” you in which of the four rooms you can claim.

That’s right — each of the four rooms of the cabin are named after the Harry Potter houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

Pro tip: Just like Harry asked for Gryffindor, maybe you can ask for one of the master suites.

Additionally, subtle nods to the Harry Potter franchise are throughout the cabin, including wands, playing cards, puzzles and the complete 8-film movie set.

Pets are not allowed at this rental cabin, so please leave your owls at home.
