WonderWorks Building Pigeon Forge

WonderWorks Sensory Days for Children and Adults with Special Needs

WonderWorks is hosting Sensory Days! The exhibits will be altered to provide limited stimulation for those with special needs. The music in the facility is lowered, any loud exhibit is not operational and the inversion tunnel is halted, creating a safe environment to enjoy the facility without feeling overwhelmed. Parents, caretakers, family and children can come to WonderWorks for $10 per person during this event. Fish at Ripley's Aquarium

Ripley’s Aquarium Home School Program

Ripley’s Aquarium offers special programs for all home schooled students!  In November, the lesson will be “Extremes, Arctic vs. Hydrothermal’. You must provide either a letter of intent, attendance record, or homeschool ID card at the admission windows in order to receive this discount. Visit the website for more information.

Ice Skates

Ice Skating at Wilderness at the Smokies

Get into the holiday spirit with Wilderness at the Smokies on the 3,200 square foot ice skating rink converted from the outdoor wave pool for the holiday and winter season. Hotel guests and the public are welcome to enjoy the rink together in a safe and socially distanced manner. Skates will be disinfected between each use with a hospital grade product. All admission paid on November 21 will directly benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Holiday Lights at Anakeesta

Anakeesta’s Enchanted Winter Event

Enjoy twinkling arctic lights while you stroll through Anakeesta’s 70-acre mountain top park. New this year, AnaVista Tower, where the the snowcapped mountain tops may be viewed. Santa’s sleigh will be landing on select dates. It may be colder on the mountain top, so dress accordingly. Events are weather dependent and subject to change, check the website calendar before arriving.

Local Appreciation Days at Anakeesta

During Local Appreciation Days, those who live in (or work in) Sevier, Blount, Hamblen, Jefferson or Cocke counties in Tennessee pay only $5 plus tax for admission. (All other elements are full price.) Residents, bring your photo ID. Those who work in those counties, bring a paycheck stub with photo ID. Annual pass upgrades still apply. Meet Rudolph and His Friends

Pigeon Forge Winterfest

Visit the area as it transforms into a winter wonderland during Winterfest! Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and the rest of the Smoky Mountains will shine as five million lights glow in celebration of the season. Smoky Mountain Winterfest turns Pigeon Forge shows and theaters into a special, seasonal experience. As of now, dates are subject to change.

SkyBridge and Mountains

SkyBridge Pumpkin Toss

BYOP to the Skybridge Pumpkin Toss, or select one of the 300 that will be available at the event. All guests will require a SkyLift Park ticket, and the toss requires a $5 registration fee. All proceeds are donated to the Sevier County Food Ministry, so come out, have some fun and support a good cause. For more information, visit the website.

Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff

Gatlinburg celebrates the fall season with one of its best foodie experiences, the Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff Presented by Bush’s® Chili Beans! Festival-goers enjoy chili samplings from the area’s top restaurants, live musical performances, activities and much more with their ticket purchase to this family-friendly event.

Near the festival’s end, chili vendors battle it out for the coveted People’s Choice, Best Booth Presentation and other categorical awards. Ticket booth entrance points will be located at 705 Parkway and River Road, and open before the event at 3 pm and 4 pm. For details, visit the website.

Skybridge Lit at Night

Skybridge – Lights Over Gatlinburg

The holidays are a special time in Gatlinburg, and there’s no better place to experience the magic than the SkyLift when the park becomes a celebration of the holidays through the end of January as thousands of twinkling lights cover the SkyDeck.
