The holidays can be an incredible time to visit the Great Smoky Mountains and surrounding areas of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville – but they can also be busy.
So busy, in fact, that finding a spot to sit down for a nice meal can feel like quite the chore on a normal day – not to mention a holiday like Thanksgiving.
That’s why we personally contacted more than 40 popular area restaurants to get the scoop on what’s open on Thanksgiving Day, whether or not they are taking reservations, and what sort of holiday specials are being offered.
Before we begin, it’s important to note that 2020 has been an unusual year. We’ve seen a lot of last minute schedule changes and cancellations from surrounding area restaurants and attractions.
While we do our best to maintain the most accurate list possible, we always recommend calling ahead before making plans. And as always, if there’s been a schedule change that you think we should know about, please contact us at [email protected]
Also, we cannot understate the popularity of these restaurants during the holiday season and many do not take reservations. Arrive as early as possible as wait times can be as great as two hours or more.
Without further ado, here’s the most complete list you’ll find for restaurants that are open in the Smokies this Thanksgiving holiday.
