Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland
This year, Shadrack’s is bringing new surprises at its Soaky Mountain Waterpark location. Not only is the route longer than at its former Smokies Stadium location but there are also new additions for 2023. Look for the 25 ft tall trumpeting angels, a star-studded pathway and more. Guests can also explore the custom-built “Santa’s Safari” along with jeep excursions, games with hippos and driving contests.
Soaky Mountain’s Snowy Mountain Village
After the light show, Snowy Mountain Village inside the waterpark will provide fun for the entire family. This includes refreshments, souvenirs, activities for kids and on select nights, visits with Santa. Santa’s schedule this year is 6 to 9 pm, Nov. 23, 25 and 30th also on Dec. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21 ,22 and 23. The Village is free for anyone who purchases admission to the light show, however, the bounce house is $15 and the kids’ crafts are $5 to $8.
Shadrack’s Soaky Mountain location runs from Nov. 17, 2023-Jan. 7, 2024. The show will operate nightly from 6-10 pm or later if necessary. This show requires that you buy tickets in advance. This event is rain, snow or shine. Visit the website to learn more or to purchase tickets.
How long does it take to go through Shadrack’s?
You can stay as long as you would like, but you’ll hear the full loop of music after about 30 minutes or so. Allow extra time for traffic as it gets closer to Christmas.
How much does Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland cost?
You can usually save a little time by purchasing in advance. Tickets are valid on any date of equal or lesser value and are good for one-time use only. A passenger vehicle ticket, max 8 people, will run around $42. An Activity van, max 25 people is $94 and tour buses are $175. Visit the website to learn more.
Also, in my opinion, if you have a tour bus drive through Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland, you should bring a little tip money for the effort because that’s slightly insane. It’s like asking someone to drive through a festively lit obstacle course. Any driver who completes the course successfully should have their license automatically renewed.

It says Santa’s village is free. Does that include pictures with Santa?
Hi Lilly, in the past I remember they did sell photo packages. The photos themselves are (typically) separate, even though Santa’s Village is included. Hope that helps!
I have been multiple times, Kodiak, Myrtle Beach SC and Fletcher NC. I loved them all but my favorite has always been in Kodiak. Awesome!! Wonderful music and Beautiful lights! I highly recommend to everybody from the young to the old.
love this. Second time I’ve been through it. I live in MS and I love coming up here and seeing all the lights. Great job
