Soaky Mountain Waterpark slides, attractions
Soaky Mountain Waterpark is the newest big attraction in the Smoky Mountains. Coming in at a whopping 50 acres, this huge waterpark boasts an impressive list of new rides, slides and kiddie play areas.
One of the main highlights of the new waterpark includes the Avalaunch, a first-of-its kind watercoaster with four flying saucer features and a TornadoWAVE finish.
Each slide in the park packs its own punch, whether you’re looking for a thrilling capsule-drop or a dual-person float ride.
“What sets Soaky Mountain apart is the wonderful attractions,” says Dave Andrews, general manager of Soaky Mountain. “We have translucent pieces that are some of the newest things in the industry that actually set effects on you as you slide down the rides.”
“What’s cool about that is it’s sunlight driven, so the Tennessee sunshine is shining right through these rides, making cool effects,” he said. “Effects that will make you feel like you’re going faster — effects that will make you feel like you’re spinning down a vortex.”
Does Soaky Mountain Waterpark have food?
Soaky Mountain also steps up the traditional “theme park food game” with specially-remodeled food trucks.
They searched high and low for noteworthy vehicles to build these stationary food trucks. The now-taco truck at Soaky was once used in the London Transit System.
The other food truck is Rolly Macaroni, which serves up all kinds of mac and cheese favorites. This serves as a subtle nod to the company’s roots in Wisconsin.
How much does Soaky Mountain cost?
Full price daily admission tickets are $44.99 for anyone taller than 42 inches and $39.99 for anyone 42 inches or below.
Seniors also receive discounted admission for $39.99.
Season passes are available for $109.99 each. Parking for regular vehicles is $13.75 when you buy online.
Children ages three and up require a ticket. The waterpark will be open through Labor Day and select weekends after Labor Day in September.
Soaky Mountain Waterpark is located at 175 Gists Creek Road, Sevierville, Tenn. For more information about the park, visit them online.
