For this installment of moonshine mixin’s, we’re going to rework the classic Tequila Sunrise — Tennessee style.
Ole Smoky®’s Hunch Punch Lightnin’ moonshine is a smooth yet tart flavor that blends oranges, pineapples and cherries — and it certainly packs a punch.
Normally, I loosely base these mixin’s off of Ole Smoky®’s official recipes, but I went a little more rogue with this one. And thus, you may be thinking that using ‘moonshine’ and ‘sunrise’ together in the recipe title may seem like an oxymoron. However, I promise that the end result works.
Best of all, it’s another easy-to-make recipe, and you don’t need many ingredients to make it.

So with that out of the way, let’s get to the recipe!
Hunch Punch Moonshine Sunrise Recipe:
- 3 parts orange juice
- 2 parts Hunch Punch Lightnin’
- Lemon juice and lime juice to taste
- Garnish with oranges or cherries as desired
This drink is is fruity and sweet, and I think it will go perfectly with your next weekend brunch celebration. (Or weekday. I’m not here to judge).
Alternatively, if you have a jar of Hunch Punch and want to try out an official recipe, you can try the Hunch Punch Cooler, which uses lemonade and cranberry, or the Cherry Limeade, which uses lime juice, Grenadine and lemon-lime soda. Cheers!
