Storybook Trail of the Smokies

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is inviting visitors to experience the Storybook Trail of the Smokies. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a Smokies-themed book through trailside activities and on-the-trail story pages to read along the one-mile Cosby Nature Trail, near Cosby Campground. Anakeesta Easter Egg Hunt

Kids, join the Anakeesta Easter egg hunt this year! Amongst the 5,000 eggs will be several golden eggs with special prizes inside. Visit the Anakeesta Facebook page for more information.

Pigeon Forge Parks and Recreation’s Easter Egg Hunt

Get ready for this annual Easter egg hunt, which will be held at Wear Farm City Park this year. Each baseball field (baseball fields 1-4) will be designated for a specific age group. Inflatables, a free raffle and a chance to take pictures with the Easter bunny will also be available.

Alcatraz East Crime Museum Respect and Kindness Exhibit

Alcatraz East Crime Museum has turned its education room into an exhibit on respect and kindness. The room will feature positive messages, tips and videos on respect and kindness. To kick things off, the room will be open to the public all day, with activities and opportunities throughout the day to meet and greet McGruff, the crime dog, on April 17. Music in the Mountains Spring Parade – CANCELLED

This parade in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., is a celebration of the rich musical heritage of the Smoky Mountains. Previously known as Dolly’s Homecoming Parade, this event highlights the the theaters in Pigeon Forge and the incredible singers, dancers and actors from all over the city that entertain visitors at the Pigeon Forge theaters nightly.

Ober Gatlinburg Sign

Ober Gatlinburg Sunrise Service (with free tram rides)

Ober Gatlinburg will host a service from the top of Mt. Harrison, sponsored by Gatlinburg Ministerial Association. The 30-40 minute service will begin at 6:30 am and will be led by local pastors. The offering collected will be used by the association to assist those in need. Ober Gatlinburg will provide guests with free tram rides to the service beginning at 5:30 am and continuing every 15 minutes until 6:30 am.

Live Music at Anakeesta

Join Anakeesta for live music in April. Cody Bauer Duo, Josh Gilbert Band, Liquid Velvet Duo, Midnight Run, Hendry Bombat, Monroeville, Tennessee Travelers, Sara Collins, Rebel Mountain Band, Lost Mill, Shaun Abbott and Warman Family Trio are currently scheduled this month. Free Music at Ole Red Gatlinburg

Country fans already know this place gets its name from superstar Blake Shelton’s breakout hit, “Ol’ Red”, and Blake knows a thing or two about spotting country’s next rising stars. Pigeon Forge Rod Runs

The 2021 rod run event in Pigeon Forge is sure to be an exciting time for car enthusiasts. This 3-day show includes a $10,000 giveaway and a variety of honors including “Top 25”, “Ultimate 5” and “King of the Hill”. Other offerings include a swap meet, car corral and plenty of vendors. PJ Party With the Penguins Family Edition

Bring your pajamas and learn what these birds do at night when you spend the night at the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies Penguin Playhouse! This fun-filled night includes a dive show, scavenger hunt and late night activities. Waddle your way into sleep while Ripley’s penguins keep you company. Dollywood’s Flower and Food Festival

The Smokies will be flowering like never before. Enjoy the giant plant sculptures adorned in thousands of colorful blooms and explore some delicious garden-fresh flavors from Dollywood chefs. Gatlinburg’s Running With the Bears 5k Run/Walk

Runners and Walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this socially distanced 2nd annual event in downtown Gatlinburg. Proceeds benefit the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a non-profit organization that works alongside Friends of the Smokies and other charities. Visit the website for details.

Fiber Arts Festival – CANCELLED

Sign up for classes on Shibori Technique, Painting with Wool, Creative Batik, Spinning on a Wheel, Fiber Prep and so much more! Family activities, live demonstrations and vendors are also scheduled. The little ones will enjoy seeing the llamas, Angora rabbits, sheep and goats. Sign up on the website and stay up to date on event information. Please note, this event has been cancelled.
