Lights Over Gatlinburg at SkyLift Park

The Townsend Grains & Grits Festival is a festival of southern spirits and gourmet grub. It’s a unique opportunity to experience the local thriving craft spirits and gourmet food community while discovering some of the region’s legendary distillers and blenders. Local Appreciation Days at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park

Residents of Sevier, Cocke, Knox, Jefferson, Blount and Hamblen Counties may bring an ID for a $5 ticket to the park. Sevier County employees may bring a paystub. This ticket can not be purchased online. For more information, visit the website.

Chili Cook-Off and Winterfest Kick-Off

Polar Express Train Ride

The Polar Express™ with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is back in 2021. The 1¼ hour round-trip passenger excursion comes to life as the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey through the quiet wilderness for a special visit at the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests onboard enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story. Ice Skating at Wilderness at the Smokies

Wilderness at the Smokies will convert the 3,200 square foot portion of the outdoor wave pool into an ice skating rink. Music and holidays lights will add to the fun atmosphere. The admission fee is included with room rates if guests use the code ICESKATE at the time of booking. Guests may purchase admission for $12.99 per person if not purchased at the time their room reservation is made. The general public can purchase at the rink for $17.99, including skates. A DJ will be onsite Fridays and Saturdays beginning Nov. 12 from 7-10 pm. Visit the website for details and updates.

WonderWorks Hosts Sensory Days 

WonderWorks is now hosting Sensory Days, in which WonderWorks’ exhibits are altered to provide limited stimulation for children with special needs. The facility’s music is lowered, any loud exhibit is not operational, and the inversion tunnel is stopped, creating a safe environment for kids to enjoy the facility without feeling overwhelmed.
