Is this Great Smoky Mountain legend true?
Perry Shultz lived near the Greenbrier area of the Smokies
Perry was a farmer and often identified as a blacksmith
Some say he was often seen emerging from the mountains with silver
He allegedly made his own version of U.S. Treasury coins
And rumor has it, when the feds caught wind, he ditched his coins and fled
Years later, a man allegedly found $37,000 of coins on the homestead
Is any of this actually true?
So are there more coins left behind?
