About Morgan Overholt, Co-Founder of TheSmokies.com
Morgan and her business partners Alaina (her sister) and James (her husband) were bitten by the “blogging bug” in 2020 when they launched their original concept – TheSmokies.com, an homage to their hometown in Tennessee.
Today, TheSmokies.com generates 4-6 million pageviews per year.
In the footsteps of that original success, Morgan and her team later launched HeyOrlando.com in 2022, and MiamiTake.com in 2023.
Her very first date with her now-husband James was at Dollywood. He originally invited her to a movie – but she demanded a date she would remember. James upped the ante with Dollywood and the rest is history.
Morgan has appeared in nationally recognized publications including Business Insider, Parade Magazine and Refinery29. She is also a Tennessee Press Association Award winner.
