Earlier this week, FACE Hospitality, a subsidiary of FACE Amusement Group, announced that Chicken Guy Gatlinburg was set to officially open on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.

The event was supposed to have featured a grand opening ceremony, including a ribbon-cutting photo-op for the media.

However, on the eve of the grand opening on Oct. 17, FACE Hospitality sent out an update that the grand opening would be delayed until further notice.

There was no word on the cause of the delay.

However, Bucky Mabe, CEO of FACE, will be on-site tomorrow to greet those who mistakenly show up for the canceled event for a meet and greet and a special sneak peek of the restaurant.

About Chicken Guy Gatlinburg

Chicken Guy is the brainchild of Food Network’s Guy Fieri and restauranteur Robert Earl.

Gatlinburg marks the second Tennessee location for the Chicken Guy concept. The original is located in downtown Nashville.

“After our recent opening in Nashville, our anticipation to open our second Tennessee location has been very high,” said Mabe. “Partnerships, like the one we have with Guy Fieri and Robert Earl create a huge level of excitement in bringing Guy’s unique and mouthwatering menu to town.”

“Gatlinburg is one of the most beautiful cities in America, and we are thrilled to bring Chicken Guy to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee,” said Guy Fieri.

The Chicken Guy Gatlinburg menu

Chicken Guy is a fast-casual restaurant concept. Menu selections feature all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, served in a variety of fashions.

Chicken Guy is famous for its unique, hand-pounded chicken, crunchy textures and powerful flavors.

The ordering process at Chicken Guy is simple.

First, select a primary dish like tenders, a sandwich or a salad. Next, select a side and/or a drink. Finally, choose one or many special sauces to top off your meal.

Chicken Guy to feature onsite arcade

The venue will also feature an onsite arcade: Arcade City Gatlinburg.

Arcade City Gatlinburg joins Pigeon Forge as the second Arcade City and the fourth FACE arcade. For example, sister locations include Arcade City Pigeon Forge, Rockin’ Raceway and Big Top Arcade.

Arcade City Gatlinburg will blend family-friendly games, prizes, nightlife and entertainment.

Win a stuffed bear, give a stuffed bear

If the name FACE Hospitality rings a bell, it might be because they already own and operate several local attractions.

Big Top Arcade, Rockin’ Raceway Arcade, The Mirror Maze and 7D Dark Ride Adventure are among some of their more popular area venues.

But, it is their unique partnership with Guy Fieri that has allowed them to bring a variety of Flavortown and Chicken Guy restaurant concepts to popular tourist destinations throughout the United States.

And, they love to give back to their community.

FACE famously supports local philanthropic efforts including their popular Bear Hugs program. Through Bear Hugs, the company donates a stuffed bear to a local charity for every stuffed bear won from their claw machines.

To date, FACE has donated nearly 10,000 stuffed bears.

Guy Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown also coming soon to Pigeon Forge

And don’t forget, Chicken Guy Gatlinburg isn’t the only Guy Fieri themed attraction making its way to the Smokies.

Back in April of 2021, it was announced that Guy Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown would be opening soon in Pigeon Forge’s Tower Shops at The Mountain Mile.

Downtown Flavortown will feature 43,000 square feet of entertainment space with a 300-plus seat restaurant, a 14-lane Duck Pin bowling alley, arcade games and a Tiki Bar.

An opening date for Downtown Flavortown in Pigeon Forge has yet to be announced as construction is still underway.
